Mike Franco is the President and founder of Studio 287 Architecture, PLLC, a full-service architectural practice he established in 2010. Originally launched as a freelance rendering and drafting service, Studio 287 has since evolved into a trusted firm delivering comprehensive architectural solutions across commercial, retail, corporate, and residential sectors.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology in 2007 and became a New York State Registered Architect in 2018. Since then, he has led Studio 287 Architecture in executing projects ranging from small-scale residential additions to the ground-up design and reconstruction of homes exceeding 3,000 square feet, as well as commercial and retail developments spanning from 1,500-square-foot retail spaces to mixed-use properties exceeding 400,000 square feet.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Mike has overseen the design and renovation of over 100 corporate office projects, including approximately 25 global interior renovations for Computer Associates, emphasizing modern collaborative and open workspace strategies. His broader commercial portfolio encompasses more than 500,000 square feet of office space, ground-up industrial and retail developments, and high-profile exterior renovations, including the Lucid Motors dealership in Plainview, NY.

Beyond core architectural services, Mike is highly skilled in site planning, lease documentation (including work letters and technical exhibits), and advanced presentation techniques. His expertise extends into architectural visualization, with extensive experience producing high-quality renderings for clients such as Tanger Outlets, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Montefiore Medical Center, Newman Design Group, and Blumenfeld Development Group. He has also developed detailed space plans for major tenants including GEICO, New York Lottery, Pure Dental, NY DMV, Weight Watchers, and Liberty Mutual, among many others.

Mike’s ability to balance technical precision with creative vision has positioned him as a versatile architect capable of delivering projects that meet both functional and aesthetic goals, while maintaining strong client relationships built on trust and results.
